Senior dog grooming essentials

As well as giving your dog good nutrition for his or her insides you really need to help with the outside as well. Not just about having your dog looking good but also getting rid of all that lifeless undercoat, this really inhibits the ability for your dog to get his or her skin breathing. After all your dogs skin is the largest organ, much like your own!

This is for those DYI Pet Groomers who want to spend time with their dog and also save money! These dog grooming supplies will help you save time too, the routine of getting your dog into your vehicle to go down to the groomers on time..etc (you know what I’m talking about..)

So what you really need to do is to look at something that is evasively easy to control that undercoat. Something that will not harm your dog and be quick about it. Because if your dog is anything like mine… you really need to be quick!

1. My #1 tool! 2.Great kit!! 3. 4.

1. The FURminator deLuxe deShedding Tool is one of the very best tools I use to keep my dog looking great, it does a great job on her undercoat and keeps her skin breathing! A funny name but does a great job!

2. The Andis dog grooming kit, For getting rid of excess hair especially in the summer months I use this kit to keep her hair light and the grooming costs down! This also comes with a excellent video on how to groom your dog too, plus dog grooming tips for the neck which is a hard place to navigate.

3.I use the Safari Mat Splitter to keep her matted hair from getting too out of control. This makes it much easier and natural looking. Yes it looks like something out of Gladiator but it works!

4.Pedi-paws some don’t like it but what I do is take the top off then I can round her nails. I like this much better rather than those clippers because I always wind up cutting the quick. And that is something I never want to do again!
